Use the challenge to test a decision, not just a memory

The FinWord puzzle asks you to recognise a finance term. The four-question quiz asks you to apply ideas from tax, saving, investing and borrowing. Both are short exercises; neither is a substitute for checking the rule that applies to your country or the terms of a real product.

After a quiz answer, read its explanation and ask which date, currency and time period the numbers use. A 3% rate becoming 3.5% is a rise of 0.5 percentage points, while the relative increase is about 16.7%. Confusing those two descriptions can lead to a very different conclusion about a savings plan or deduction. For a calculation involving your own figures, use a country-specific calculator and follow its sources and assumptions.

The daily activities are designed to encourage repeat practice. Your score measures performance on that small set of questions, not financial expertise. If a term or answer is unfamiliar, open the linked guide, try its worked example with your own numbers, and check the official source before making a money decision.
